In 1985 Josef Bostik attempted a maneuver in a hanglider which almost cost him his life. Almost, because he had an aircraft recovery system. It was a good story. 16 years later Josef Bostik attempted another maneuver and saved his life a second time. Another good story, because of an aircraft recovery system.

In the summer of 2004 Josef lost two of his close friends in two separate accidents. Neither had an aircraft recovery system, which could have saved them both. Sad stories.

In 1990 Mr.Junkers of Germany and Mr. Josef Straka of Czech Republic formed a partnership in the development of a superior all plane recovery system. Czech ballistic experts offered the know how with all the history in the military ballistic and parachute design for the Soviet Block during the Cold War.
Junkers provided the assurance to the German and European customers. This partnership was and still remains a win win situation for both sides. In 1996 the partnership reorganized when Junkers ownership changed hands to Junkers Profly of Germany. Stratos 07 s.r.o. was born and the 2 new companies continue cooperation this way ever since. Stratos07s.r.o. holds the EN ISO 90001:2000 certification.

Entering the US market

Launch of the product in the United States was delayed for over a decade by high market demand in Europe. In 2006 Bostik Industries, LLC was formed and assumed the responsibility of an importer of Magnum Ballistic Parachutes into the United States, Canada, Australia and South America.

Development

Magnum Ballistic Parachutes have saved over 50 lives over the years and will continue to do so for a long time to come. 14 lives were saved in 2006. Bostik Industries LLC., in cooperation with Stratos 07 s.r.o., continues the development of high performance systems for weights exceeding 4000 lbs and speeds of over 200 mph. Our testing and development efforts are ongoing. We cooperate with numerous Universities, Institutes and Governments throughout the EU.
